Hello, I’m Catherine Lepreux and I’m a professional yet creative and friendly curtain maker.
I help private clients in Edinburgh, Fife, St Andrews, Perthshire & Tayside who value a high level of personal service to dress their windows with bespoke handmade curtains and blinds.
I enjoy the challenge of using my creativity to make your home decor work for you. It’s important to me that the end result reflects your personal taste, style and budget.
Also, it can be tricky to select colours which look “right” in the Scottish light. I understand how colours work and will help you have confidence in your choices.
Clients tell me that they value my flexible “can do” approach and my attention to detail. And that I take care of the practicalities of making a project happen.
Additionally, they appreciate the continuity that comes from my team and me handling their project from start to finish. Seeing a client’s happy smile at the end of a project is so rewarding!

Colours, fabrics & textures
Even as a child, I was always fascinated by colours, fabrics and textures. My mother and aunt were both excellent dressmakers. And thanks to them, I learned early on how to take a piece of fabric and turn it into something fabulous.
So it wasn’t really a surprise when my first handmade curtains launched me into learning everything there is to know about curtains, blinds, soft furnishings as well as interior design. I left my career in banking & finance to start Catherine Lepreux Interiors as a professional curtain maker.
Since 2011, I’ve been helping homeowners refresh their window treatments and dress their challenging, unusually shaped period windows. And most importantly, helped them create a comfortable home for themselves and their family.
